Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation

“Our mission is to provide the resources which will enhance the dignity of life for the terminally ill, their families and caregivers.”

When a person is terminally ill, the bills don’t stop.  Facing the end of life and having financial difficulty can be overwhelming.  The combination of concerns can add unbearable stress to an already difficult and heartbreaking situation.

Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation (CCHF) was created to help terminally ill hospice patients and the people who love them.

Contributions are NOT used to provide direct hospice care to terminally ill patients or their loved ones.

The following are actual examples of how CCHF has helped:

Summer Camp for an 11 year old child whose single mother is terminally ill.

A special little therapeutic pillow to help ease pain for a terminally ill child.

A refrigerator for a family with four small children-they were keeping their food in coolers.

A portable air conditioner to help make a wife’s life more comfortable.

Rent, Mortgage, or Utility payment to provide a familiar place to live and help the family remain intact as long as possible.

Annual Grant of $10,000 to Compassionate Courage, a program for school aged children who have a family member undergoing cancer treatments, terminal illness or children who have experienced loss due to death

“Every individual deserves a measure of dignity, love and compassion.”

The Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, a registered nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, endeavors to be the cornerstone in hospice care.  The Foundation, founded in 2004 is designed to minister to the extraordinary-crisis situations that often occur in families above and beyond the needs that are met by hospice.

An acknowledgement letter is mailed for your tax deductible gift.  If a contribution is made in remembrance of an individual, a letter is sent to the family notifying them of your gift.  Dollar amounts are not included in the family acknowledgement letter.

Poane Studios

Poane’ is best described as, naturally gifted, positively charged, highly energetic, passionate and motivated.

He was born and raised in New Jersey, and at the age of five, Poane' received his first drum set. Playing for fun, he and his father {who played piano} would practice together. During his teen years, he played with several bands, and at the age of 17, his energetic and crowd-pleasing performance won him the amateur drumming contest. Another creative avenue for Poane’ is his oil paintings of people, which is done along with his photography. A man of many talents, he is constantly unveiling new dimensions to his creativity. As a young man, he also discovered ways of expressing his artistry through make up. He decided to pursue this avenue by researching the modeling industry in New York City, with hopes of becoming a make-up artist. He enrolled in a modeling school in New York City, and decided to move to Manhattan. Being able to work in the city gave him the opportunity to meet with well known modeling agencies and cosmetic companies. His first job was with a company from England, Mary Quant Cosmetics. Meanwhile, he always had his camera to capture his creations on film. The many modeling agencies such as Ford, Wilhelmina, Foster Fell and Zoli that he affiliated himself with used him for both make-up and photography; he also was involved with training models for the runway and teaching make-up techniques.

With the social skills Poane’ possesses he contacted the Playboy Club in New York City. He was asked to set up fashion shows in the club. He ended up producing his own fashion shows and working with different designers, as well as handling all the makeup for the shows. The fashion shows were a success for the Playboy Club. He than met a national educator / platform artist for a major hair company. He apprenticed under ” Destyn Enzman” for five years. Destyn and Poane’ opened up a couple of salons which were very successful. This opened many doors for Poane’, he became a platform artist, and speaker for many events in the city. Working with women’s organizations, corporate events, secretarial schools, colleges etc., also worked on a TV segment called "PM Magazine".

Photography has become his main focus, but continues to work with hair and makeup. Poane’ ended up moving to Colorado in 1986 and married a former runway model who he had met in New York City. In December of 1989 they had a son, Devon. Early 1990 they moved to Georgia. Most of his time here in Georgia is spent working as a photographer for many events here, such as the Trumpet Awards, Walk of Fame at the Martin Luther King’s Historical site, Jesse Jackson’s Birthday Celebration, Atlanta Magazine, Radio Stations, Weddings and still makes time to do makeovers.
